Emmie Moser is hitting .412 for the Pacific University softball team.
Moser, a 2012 graduate of Sedro-Woolley, is a sophomore designated hitter at the Forest Grove, Ore., school.
She has played in 12 of the Boxers’ 19 games — all at designated hitter — with nine runs scored, two doubles, one home run and nine RBI.
Moser’s batting average is third-best on the team.
She has hit safely in nine of the 12 games in which she has played, including a 2-for-4, home run and two RBI game against Puget Sound.
Last season, Moser hit .268.
Campbell helps turnaround
Mark Campbell has helped the Oregon State women’s basketball team to an impressive turnaround.
The Mount Vernon graduate, the associate head coach for the Beavers, has helped the team to a likely spot in the NCAA Tournament.
After a 10-21 season in 2012-13, Oregon State is 23-10 headed into a possible postseason berth.
Campbell has been an assistant coach at Oregon State for four seasons. He had previous coaching stops at Pepperdine, Clackamas and Saint Mary’s.
Garrison at Victor Valley
Connor Garrison is putting up some good numbers for the Victor Valley College baseball team.
The 2012 Sedro-Woolley graduate is the starting shortstop — and No. 2 hitter — for the California community college team.
Garrison is hitting .305 with 18 runs scored, six RBI and four stolen bases in 21 games. He has had five games this season in which he has gone 3-for-5.
Last season, Garrison played at College of the Desert in California.
