Parents of teens or tweens may want to tune into the local push to bring a UW campus to a site in Skagit County.

The state is searching for a site for a new University of Washington branch campus to serve Skagit, Snohomish and Island counties. Eight out of 70 proposed sites are in Skagit County.

Do you want a way for your kids to go to a university and live at home? Or would you perhaps prefer they move away? Either way, if you’d like to weigh in on the discussion, there will be another meeting at 7 p.m. today at McIntyre Hall, 2501 E. College Way in Mount Vernon. State officials have already held two public meetings locally, one in Burlington and the other in Stanwood.
