The Volunteer Lawyer Program seeks clients for the next Juvenile Record Sealing Clinic, to be held Thursday, Oct. 11, in Mount Vernon. Juvenile criminal records can be a barrier to accessing housing, employment, training programs and more, according to the Skagit County Community Action Agency. Sealing juvenile records can make a significant difference in a person’s ability to achieve his or her goals. The clinic will not address vacating adult criminal records. Those unsure whether they have an adult versus a juvenile criminal conviction can be informed and advised by clinic organizers. Clients must apply in advance; call 360-416-7585 to register.
