You have made my life so much easier. No longer do I have to try to convince people that motorcyclists do not have death wishes and are, in fact, a safe and responsible bunch. You have finally revealed the truth for all to see: motorcyclists really are the irresponsible, reckless, speed-demons that the general public has always thought.

I am glad that a group of motorcyclists has finally stood up and let everyone know that the roads and highways are our personal playgrounds and that we don’t give a whit about the safety or convenience of others on the road.

Now that the truth has been revealed, I am sure the non-riding, voting public will simply quake with fear and tell their legislators to give us whatever we ask for. For example, I am sure that it will be no problem to get higher penalties for drivers who kill bikers and make sure that insurance coverage is available for injured riders.

Yep, after your masterful display, it should be no problem at all to convince drivers to treat us with courtesy respect.

Wow, what incredible jackasses. And you’re right, if they had dumped the bike and one of those drivers hit them, it would have been the “evil” car driver and poor motorcyclist.
We’ve all seen something incredibly stupid happening on the roads, but that has to be the stupidist thing I’ve ever seen.

As usual, a group of idiots is making the MAJORITY of us law abididing motorcyclists lose credibilty with the rest of the motoring public. What you have seen here is not the norm, but, an example of why fatalities are up and why law enforcement is impounding those bikes whose riders are not endorsed. These are the people who make our insurance rates go up ( I would venture to say that non of these guys have the non mandatory liability insurance that the majority of us carry). Anybody can go and purchase one of these crotch rockets and not have a clue how to ride. As far as the cops go, I would venture to say they were busy on something else ( mabey a motorcyclist who was innocently hit by a car) as I know that they would have loved to get ahold of these. If you video tape these and get a lisence plate number, WSP will ceratinly follow up on it. Rember, these idiots are the exception, NOT THE RULE.

I use to feel that people who road motorcycles were not given enougth respect on the roads.  My husband use to ride a cycle, that was until a lady cut him of trying to beat him into a gas station and sent his bike into the gravel.  He had to lay down the bike to avoid hitting her.  She in turn, took off.  I still feel that way but I can’t believe the 2 idiots comments posted earlier.  All roads and freeways are your private playgrounds!!!!

Jeez man, what are you thinking.  I guess you haven’t ridden long enough for the BIG picture.  Yes, these idiots on the croch rockets don’t help the image but neither do cage drivers that tailgate and pull similar stunts.  To lump us all into a catagorize stinks!  I am offended big time.

I am so upset by what I have read!!!!! I can’t even think clearly right now I am so upset. So first off I was on I-5 when they were doing wheelies and showing off and you know what??? I happened to be on the back of a Harley Motorcycle, and I saw the results of this so called just showing off and having a good time, I saw two of the people in my group go rolling down the freeway and then lifeflighted due to this!!!! I don’t believe that all people on Crotch Rockets are like the ones that were doing this, BUT, I have seen more than one speeding and zipping in thru traffic. My Boyfriend and I do not believe we own the road when we are out riding, in fact we are more than aware of our fellow people on the road!! WE HAVE TO BE!!! There have been more time than I can count where we have to get out of the way of people who don’t seem to see a big Harley right next to them or ahead of them or even behind them. DO you ride John??? If not I don’t believe you should be talking about something you don’t understand. I will never get over seeing someone I know laying hurt and bleading on the road, knowing how close it was to being myboyfriend and myself. So to all of you who think it is fun to go speeding down the freeway and showing off, maybe you should stop and look behind you and see the distruction your playing has caused!!!!!!!!!!!

John and Captain Crunch have restored my faith! I thougt all JackAsses proved themselves in the political arena and no True JackAss, one that could prove themselves stupid in any situation, no longer existed, but posts like this and responses like Captain Crunch’s prove beyond doubt that the art of stupidity and the spirit of the true JackAss are alive and well, and that they still walk among us. Although if they would simply go out and ‘have fun with thier toys’ as Captain Crunch says, maybe they won’t be for long and we can work on getting some respect back for riders!
