BURLINGTON — Last week, before his team’s loss to Prosser in the Class 2A state football quarterfinals, an Othello assistant coach said he wished his team could have played Prosser later in the playoffs.

Talk to the Burlington-Edison football team and you almost get the impression the Tigers would have liked to have face Prosser earlier — in the quarterfinals, in the regular season, in the summer — maybe any day since last year’s Class 2A state championship game loss to the Mustangs.

“Oh, I’m excited,” senior Cole Sager said, his eyes lighting up. “This is a great week. I just can’t stop smiling. I’m super-pumped for this. It’s just going to be fun. You’ve got to think of it as another game, and come out and take care of business, but deep down you know this is the week.”Read The Full Story
