So Mr.Conrad you will be punished if you dare to question your property taxes. So the Assessor was trying to put the fear in you?? Thats infuriating, I would have to fight it on principle.

The fact of the matter is that the Board of Equalization cannot increase the assessed value of a property. That is a hollow threat and the person who made it should be fired. Mr Conrad, I would invite you to meet with your County Commissioner and make that argument. The reality of the issue is that if you cannot make a case with the board based on comparable sales, they won’t take action.
