Will you people please use the spell check option on your computer? I can only guess at what your point is because I can only read a third of your post. Sentence structure would also help.
Yes, times are changing. Shooting people for giving dirty looks has not been a part of Skagit Valley culture in the past. I remember one time, my cousin pulled out a shotgun to protect himself when some bullies followed him home on a Friday night, but he didn’t shoot them. He waved the gun, and they left. The police came by to follow up, but realized that it was legal to wave a gun at trespassers on your own property. In the past year, we’ve had 3 shootings that I can remember without trying: a pedestrian shot at a motorist at the corner of 18th and College Way, a truckload of men shot at a crowd in the parking lot at the Moose Lodge, and this shooting in Burlington. Each of the shooters was of latin heritage. Is that a racist comment or is it a summary of events? The culture of Skagit Valley has changed because of the influx of Mexican immigrants. Is that racist to say? If yes, what makes it so?
Have I hinted that there is something evil about Mexican people? I hope not, because that is not my opinion. If you read my post with a poisoned heart, then you might think so, but my words will not justify your feelings. Is there anybody from Mexico that would disagree that the culture of Mexico is more violent and sexual than the traditional culture of the Skagit Valley? Our culture is bound to change with the recent influx of immigrants from Mexico. It has happened to every farming community that hires immigrant laborers. Is the solution to stop hiring immigrant laborers? Maybe. Should Skagitonians work their own fields? I think so.
