Forty-six Anacortes students were among the nearly 1,100 fifth- through eighth-graders from around the state who were honored for their outstanding verbal or math abilities by the University of Washington at an award recognition ceremony May 18.

The students’ academic achievements were found through the Washington Search for Young Scholars.
