It is a fact that more than 80% of medical bills are inaccurate—most often over-charging a patient.  If the billing department is that far off the mark, what assurances does a patient have that their medical records are accurate?  And how can a patient feel secure that their medical records will be made up of mere digital bits stored on a hard drive?  Hard drives that can crash, be corrupted or compromised. 

Efficiency doesn’t erase errors or inaccuracies.  And when those errors are about one’s health, it’s a penny wise while a pound foolish.

I agree with you 100%, you have to be careful when dealing with medical insurance billing.
