Smoked salmon with capers and chocolate covered strawberries prepared by hospital chef Darwin Anderson and his staff introduced Anacortes residents to the new and improved Island Hospital at a dedication celebration Tuesday, July 1.

Hospital board members, administration and staff members and city and county officials were all smiles at the event celebrating the completion of the two-year, two-phase construction project.
