The Shell Puget Sound Refinery is appealing a recent finding by the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries of 23 “serious” safety and health violations at the March Point plant.

Shell has filed a letter with L&I;indicating it is appealing the decision, said Shell spokesperson Brian Sibley. The basis for the appeal is confidential because of the nature of the citations, he said.
