Telecommunications industry representatives gave the Anacortes City Council their first reactions to the city’s proposed new cell tower ordinance Monday night, and for the most part they didn’t like what they saw.... The ordinance was drafted with help from a Midwest law firm and is aimed, according to planning director Ian Munce, “to give communities the maximum local control possible under the Federal Communications Commission regulations.”
