Noted Conway abstract sculptor Arnie Garborg is featured in the Art at the Port’s 2008 John L. Scott Focus Gallery, a venue added to the Anacortes Arts Festival in recent years to showcase the region’s top talent.
Garborg’s work reflects both literal and abstract characteristics of the expansive landscape of his home — the artist grew up on a 60-acre farm that his family homesteaded in the 1800s, according to A New Leaf Gallery of Sonoma, Calif.
