Bradford E. Furlong of the Mount Vernon law firm Furlong-Butler will serve as acting city attorney through the end of the year, Mayor Dean Maxwell announced at Monday’s City Council meeting.

Furlong will replace Ian Munce, who is retiring as city attorney and planning director at the end of the month.
