Nah, I’d just make them all march from Continental to the Norris Playpen, aka Mt. Vernon City Hall and back.  All those in shape to do so can keep their jobs.

Barring that, I’d just dissolve the county government into a bunch of button-pushers and puppets for the municipalities that want to replace the county government.

Barring that, I’d dissolve all the municipalities and just have one layer of local government.  That would be much more efficient.
