The E-Z Rider Cafe, located inside Steel Dreams in Burlington, is closing its doors. Sunday, August 10 will be the last day for the long-time favorite of motorcyclists and locals. The closing was announced to employees on Wednesday.

According to some, the increased cost of food and delivery have made the cafe unprofitable causing the owner’s to decide shut it down.

Well I am very sad to hear of their closing. I love that place and will miss it greatly. Does anyone konw the cause or was it just because of the bad economy? Either way the EZ rider cafe will be greatly missed.

What I heard was that the cafe had been struggling for a while and that the increased cost of food and delivery finally pushed the decision.

What a drag!  I take a week-long ride through the southwest and come back to find my favorite restaurant is closed.

Guess it’ll be Bob’s Burgers for lunch from now on.

My family and I had breakfast at the cafe Sunday morning. It was a sad affair as lots of people were coming in to say goodbye. Many patrons were very surprised at the news.

This place was PACKED every single time I was in there...spent LOTS of money there myself...I can’t imagine that it DIDN’T make money but the owner would know…

I’m sorry it’s gone.

I’m sorry to hear about the cafe closing.  They are always so busy when we are there.  Great people and friendly service.  Even my 85 year Aunt loves to go there.  Hard to find a place that offers everything in one package.

It is my understanding that the motorcycle dealership is not doing very well either.  Since they took over Honda, most Honda riders go to Smokey Point or Everett for sales and service.

A sad day indeed… The EZ Rider Cafe fed me and my family many times.  Always had great service. Always had great food. Always provided a fun experience.

I’ll miss it!

I heard the motorcycleshop is doing fine, obviously in this market who knows.  I know they are building a new facility down in S. Mt Vernon and the new owner doesn’t want to be in the food business.  The people that work there say the new owner is moving it to the anderson rd exit.
