And gosh, what a coincidence, he just happens to be a liberal democrat and member of the nefarious group Friends of Skagit County.  It was a no-brainer for you folks at the SVH.

Hey Jack:  Better look into this breach-of-contract and fraud lawsuit just filed against your man Turner.  It doesn’t look good.

I can say from my personal contact and experience with Ron Wesen, that he is a man of integrity and vision and the best man on the ballot to be county commissioner.

Wesen is a farmer.
He’ll keep the pro-development forces led by Don Gordon under check.

Turner has such a questionable background I am amazed that the editorial would say that he is the best candidate.  Look at the controversy he has caused in recent years in Anacortes and it is all too clear this guy is NOT right for the job.  He all ready has several negative strikes against him before setting foot in this important position, so that we can only assume that it will be “business as usual” if he were to take office.  That would be very disturbing indeed.  This county already has issues to deal with without having to worry about the integrity of a county commissioner.

I have looked extensively through the campaign information and websites for the candidates and think that Ron Wesen is a much smarter bet than either of the others by far.
