I’ve heard and read several comments about this tragic incident where people are trying to lay the blame on the NRA.  Those people don’t know what the hell they’re talking about.  The NRA isn’t against firearms safety and training, in fact, the NRA is probably the biggest advocate for training and safety in this country.  They put on training and safety sessions and clinics for everyone from young first-timers to seasoned law enforcement professionals.  The NRA is not now nor have they ever been in favor of the reckless use of firearms.

14 yrs to young to under stand right from wrong in fire arm safety.. Wrong

The youngster should be held accountable for his action.

All the bleeding hearts that say different are 100% Wrong on this kid.. Life with out parole will do him justice.

If he can not do the time...he should not have commited the CRIME…

You need to get a grip Sarge. Life would have to mean there was “intention” This was not a pre meditated murder, it was a mistake.

I advocate life without parole for Sarge everytime he doesn’t use his spell-checker. ;-)

There was no reason for a 12 year old to die yestrday on Highway 20 near Avon Allen Road.
Someone is responsible for the way the traffic is going 50 MPH where it is 2 lanes near Airport exit and then narrows to one lane with no warning that the traffic iS going to stop abruptly near Avon Allen Road. (always does) then if you get the false sense that you can keep going at 50 MPH and find you need to stop, there is no place to go. Jersy barriers tightly on right and over the center line on left. What a horrible decision for that father of the 12 year old that died

A terrible thing, yes, but get serious; somebody else’s fault?  No way!

If you maintain a safe distance from the vehicle in front you’ll have plenty of room to stop regardless of the reason for the traffic slow-up.  To do this you must be alert, with eyes always on the road.

Anyone who rides a motorcycle will tell you that it’s not only critical to maintain stopping distance at all times but you should double that distance in the rain.

Very sorry about the little girl’s death but the only one to blame here is her dad.
