The new owners of the Outlet Shoppes at Burlington have announced three new stores coming to the shopping complex this fall.

Horizon Group Properties will bring Pendleton, which sells wool clothing, OshKosh B’Gosh, which sells children’s clothing, and Lululemon Athletica, a yoga apparel shop.

The company said during a Burlington Chamber of Commerce meeting Wednesday that these will be the first three of several new stores at the complex, which is currently under renovation.

Yay - Pendleton and OshKosh are two great additions!  Now if they could just 86 that new color scheme (shades of the Brady Bunch’s avocado green appliances and 2-inch high burnt-orange shag carpet - yuck ;-)

Hey but you are not going to miss it driving by.  Last week on the freeway I found my car gliding towards the orangeness.  It kind of sucks you in!  Oh, and yay Osh Kosh!  Paying full retail price on that stuff is ridiculous!

Agreed - even online it’s priced ridiculously.  As far as the orangeness of the place…

I grew up in the 60’s and 70’s - the colors are definitely repelling me, not drawing me in.  Those color combinations never should have happened the first time!  Aaaahhhh....

Maybe you should just stay “upriver” where things are much more cultured.  After all, didn’t you folks east of Hamilton put the “Feng” in “Feng Shui?”

The real question is, do the garish new colors particularly attract Canadians?

I think they’re partial to Mountie Red and Maple Brown. ;-)

“garish” ha! ha! what a perfect description of those colors!  It repels me too...it’s like going to shop on the Partridge Family bus.

I like the color choices, it really stands out.  I don’t care what color they paint it, as long as the new mall generates more revenue and jobs in the county.  Hats off to the new owners for saving our outlet mall and trying to improve our shopping choices.

I’m sorry but I hate the colors of the new outlet mall. Yes they are easy to see from the road but they are awful colors. It doesn’t invite me to go shopping there. I just don’t think it’s a good choice. There are thousands of inviting colors they could have used and these are not any of them.

I know what you mean.  Why, just the other day the Cadillac dealer was giving away new cars, but when I went down to get one the colors of the dealership’s building were so offensive I went right back home without my free Caddy.
