Oh, really?  That puts the burden of proof on Leo Jacobs who stated Mr. Berg handed his letter back to him.

What did Leo Jacobs do with the letter?

Berg said the meeting happened, but not like that. Berg said he did not remove the letter, did not tell Jacobs not to submit it and did not even know whether or not the letter had already been submitted to the Planning Department.

“I was not tracking these comments as they came in,” Berg said. “… No. I did not take the letter out of the file nor did I ask him not to comment, nor more importantly did I direct him not to comment.”

Berg said their discussion focused on how Jacobs’ 16 numbered statements were worded, not whether he could or should make them.

“I would not interfere with the guy’s right to comment,” Berg said.

“What I told him was he did not have the authority to make conditions and that his comments would be most effective if they were written not as requirements or conclusions,” Berg said.

Okay then:

Q1:  “I was not tracking these comments as they came in” so then why and how did Berg get the Jacobs Letter?

Q2: “… No. I did not take the letter out of the file” so why, Mr. Berg, wasn’t the letter copied and the original kept during this discussion?

Q3:  “I would not interfere with the guy’s right to comment,” - well then, why did you not have this in the file and then send an e-mail or other form of writing with your concerns, keeping a file of your professional conduct?  Oh that’s right, there wasn’t that much professional conduct in this matter.

What are the chances somebody was going to gain financially from this?

I understand justice quite well, thank you.  Maybe better than you do.  I totally believe in a fair and just system.  I wish it really worked that way.  Truly I do.  But we all know (unless some have their blinders on, which many seem to) that we live in a world of corrupt politicians and government officials.  With that in play, it’s pretty hard to get ‘fair and just’.

Nuff said.  ;)

One should at least try.  That means not rushing to judgement based on pre-existing biases.

Leo is not an owner of Tri County Recycling.

And Tri-County Recycling is not in the same business as Deluxe. 

Typical.  Smear false crap on everyone who gets in your way.  Repeat same thing over and over using different screen names in your own slanderous echo chamber.  Joseph Goebbels and Karl Rove would be impressed with your propaganda skills.  No one else is.

Perhaps it behoved Mr Leo Jacobs, who is running for County Commissioner, to distance himself from the political storm regarding the Deluxe situation. Especially since to the common person, Mr.Jacobs job in Sedro Woolley seems to be involved with some kind of waste material and he serves on a Transfer Station Oversight Committee.

It seems natural he would not have wanted to be involved in the present controversy and so sought to protect himself from public scrutiny as his campaign heats up with community meetings and such. He is no doubt aware that the County Commissioners oppose Sedro Woolley’s departure from the county run trash “business”

I can see, after reading Leo Jacobs campaign material that he should have had a grammar coach so it seems possible that Berg was hoping that any official documents being entered into the record should be grammatically correct and have parallel structure and tried to help him with his writing errors.

Civility, who can argue with a name like that?  Of course though this is probably Berg’s latest online sock puppet.

Oh I get it, Leo’s letter was taken out of the file because Berg wanted to help Leo with his writing skills.  What a swell guy.

I’ve been watching this forum since yesterday and I have to tell you it’s a joke.  99% of the things being posted on here are not correct.  I can only hope that people aren’t forming their opinions on this topic from the posts here.  The post about Jacobs doing this for his campaign was the last straw for me.  Jacobs lost in the primary election, his campaign is over.  Who are you people, and what is wrong with you.  You have no clue.  And it cracks me up when you people on here try to sound so intelligent when in reality you don’t have clue, you’re just spreading rumors.  The paper needs to have some regulation to these forums.  There are no conspiracies as some people have stated, no city officials are personally lining their pockets here.  The Deluxe opposition group and the city administration are both good groups of people.  I know people on both sides.  They both believe that they have the cities best interests in their minds.  Things have just really gotten out of control.  My heart hurts for the community right now and I hope we can all come away from this ok.  But please if you don’t know what your talking about don’t spread rumors.  Even if you think you know what your talking about you probably don’t.  The only people that do are the people directly involved in the court case.

I see alot of criticism from you about rumor mongering, yet nothing to counter what the alleged rumor mongers have said.  If you’ve got something to back up what you are claiming about the so-called rumors that are allegedly being spread, then speak up.  Don’t just whine, say something that has some substance - don’t just claim to know what’s really going on, prove that you do with some facts.
