“How about evidence?” What kind of drugs are you smoking, Lee_USA?

Leo’s comment letter was stamped in by the city just like other comment letters in the Deluxe file.  You can see it , at page 8.

Then Berg called Leo on the carpet.

Then Leo’s letter disappeared.  No more letter.  Gone.  Vaporized.  Poofified.

Perhaps the letter miracled itself out of the SEPA record, Lee_USA?  Perhaps it was divine intervention by Our Lady of the Old Growth Timber?  Or perhaps a gorilla broke into City Hall, snatched the letter out of the file, and then carefully climbed out of a window leaving no tracks?

Or maybe the Mayor’s terriers ate Leo’s letter out of protest over not getting their doggie park.  That could’ve happened, ayup, no doubt about it, because anything’s possible in the Bizarro World that Sedro-Woolley has become.

At some point the burden of proof is on the spin doctor, Lee_USA.

And what’s with the constant muttering about “American ideals” and so forth?

What does bootlicking for a garbage company have to do with American ideals?

Samuel Johnson put it well way back in 1775: “Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel.”

Then the stamped letter ends up in Jacob’s hand? Maybe he took it and never returned it? I see where the City addressed all the concerns Jacob commented on in their SEPA.I also wonder why Jacobs waited 6 months to finally figure out his letter was missing and why didn’t he go to his boss the public works director or the mayor or a city council memeber with this information? Sounds super political doing a recall on the mayor with BS charges on Friday and explod this bomb on Monday. Too much coincidience for me.The County is playing real hard ball to keep that million dollars they suck away from the solid waste transfer station budget. Does Jacob’s have any witnesses?

Again, does Jacob’s have any witnesses? This smells like Honea running with a thread instead of finding the truth. The County prosecutor’s office is out of control and needs to seek the truth instead of twisting things their way. Ask the prosecutor’s how’d they get the missing comment item? - from Jacob’s. Why 6 months later? Why not go to your mayor, your boss or union rep? Smells like Honea.

Has anyone looked at the conflict of interest from the Skagit County Prosecutors office involvement? This is to personal for them and they should recluse themselves from further involvement. Mr. Weyrich as the lead prosecutor is also a Sedro-Woolley school board member and has a personal agenda against the Deluxe Recycling plan, one of his minions, Will Honea is making this a personal battle against Eron Berg and will do whatever it takes to win, the lack of professional and personal integrity of both leaves a lot to be desired. They should ask Whatcom or Snohomish county prosecutors office to take over the case and make the appropriate decisions on how to proceed. The prosecutors office is also apart of the county business that includes the waste.recycling center that could or would lose business to Deluxe, another conflict with their involvement. For Mr. Jacobs, very sad that he is not professional enough to do as asked by an employer and make the necessary changes requested and submit back into evidence for the SEPA report, could have avoided all of this recent BS. Probably a good thing he does not work for Donald Trump as he would be fired for being so stupid and insubordinate, maybe that is his plan so then he can so the city or go out on a medical stress disability, sounds like he is setting himself up. The lack of integrity by all three (Weyrich, Honea and Jacobs) is not surprising.

I am neither for or against the Deluxe Recycling coming to town, if the Janicki family or the school district would have purchased the property and done something with then we would not be in this mess. The Janicki family decided to go to Hamilton instead of doing their expansion at the site in question, the school district had plenty of opportunity to also make a bid on the site for future expansion but lack the foresight or willingness to do so.

The Person We Need - 27 August 2008 04:29 AM
All I was trying to say by my post is that most of the stuff being said in this forum is untrue, and that the people involved are good people with the communities best interests in mind.  And how do I know this?  It’s my opinion based on what I know to be fact, not heresay, and I guess you’ll just have to trust me.  Or not, either way I don’t care.  I try to only speak about things that I know to be true.  I guess I’m too out of touch.  I don’t lie.

I have had to deal with Eron Berg, Mike Anderson and the rest of the City of Sedro Woolley, and I do know by experience, that Eron is not only full of crap, but full of himself, he likes to bully people around.  Oh we got promises and promises from the City, but did they come through with what would have been the right thing to do, thanks to Eron no.  Mike Anderson is just a puppet of Eron Berg, Mike can’t go to the bathroom without checking in with Eron first.
Don’t get me started on Mike Anderson, he tells everyone I will call you back...Two months later..finally had track him down to get answers, and not at City Hall!!!
So when it comes time to speaking the truth, and talking about fact and not heresay, I am speaking 100% fact.  Not 100% bull as Eron or his posse speaks.
If more people would speak up..we could get rid of the mayor and his clowns.

I’ve had to deal a lot with the Mayor and Eron and many other city employees, and I’ve had good a good experiences with them.  I have always known them to be fair.  I don’t know what the Soccer Mom’s issues have been with the City, maybe her individual complaints with Eron and the Mayor are legitimate.  Collectively however, I believe they are doing a good job.  They believe that they are acting in the best interests of the city.  And one important thing to remember is that the City Council is acting on the advice of an outside neutral attorney.  They are doing thier job by listening to their legal council and therfore protecting the interests of the city as they see it.  That’s their job.

I feel really bad for the Mayor.  Our last Mayor didn’t do much to attract new business.  Mayor Anderson’s election platform was built on attracting new industry to town so that we can actually get a decent tax base.  When the Deluxe issue initially surfaced I’m sure he was looking at the massive revenue that the facility would have pumped into our city.  The council and mayor probably saw the potential for improved roads, maybe a new library, recreation center, parks, trails, and every other type of infrastructure that we don’t have the ability to provide with our current tax base which is overwelmingly based on residential taxes.  People might have actually seen their property taxes stop increasing because we would have actually had some relief from other revenue sources.  Burlington has had years when their council hasn’t had a property tax increase because they have more than just residential.  They were just looking out for the cities best interests when they drafted the resolution to support the concept of Deluxe.  We’re never going to get anywere unless people start having an opend mind on new businesses.  We should probably keep things the way they are now, maybe be could add another bar or pizza parlor, we sure need another one of those.  Why doesn’t somebody start a movement about that.  Lets just keep watching our city wither.  Drunks can keep fighting our police officers, urinating all over downtown, and tearing up our carvings and defacating all over Hammer Herritage Square.  I feel really bad for the Police and Parks Departments, they have to deal with this, and clean up after this every weekend.  I appreciate the Mayor and Council’s efforts to at least try to find a way out of this mess.

Leo, Leo, Leo… What were you thinking?  Conflict of interest with Tri-County Recycling?

The personal attacks are making our town and county look small minded.

From the SVH article -

The mayor said that from his interviews, it appears one of the planners — not Berg — removed Jacobs’ letter from the file and that Jacobs, Berg, Moore and Coleman passed it around and discussed it. He said the planners and Berg pointed to another letter in the file, from city Wastewater Treatment Supervisor Debbie Allen, that made suggestions rather than setting conditions as Jacobs had done. They suggested Jacobs rewrite his letter in that format, Anderson said, and someone returned the letter to him. Jacobs did not return it to the file, Anderson said.

Looks like a tempest in a teapot driven by politics.

Yeah, and who now has credibility about the law now dan litton and timewarp?!?!?

Who exactly?!?!?

And for those who have attempted to vouch for Mr. Berg, my sympathies.

After today’s news, Berg and the City have the credibility. Jacobs is either stupid or a lier, 5 people heard and understood one way and Jacobs another. Jacobs was played by prosecutor Honea hard. Why didn’t Honea do an investigation to get the truth instead of running with a stateement from one individual - he could have talked to others in that department. Find the truth but Honea has a mission to win. Scary for a prosecutor to have that much power and a newspaper that allows the misuse of power. Then Honea adds the BS Jacobs information to the lawsuit, Ha! The papers put headlines out that Berg tampered with a file and now we find out Jacobs was wrong. Nice job smearing someone’s name, papers and County.

Whoops.  Bad move, Mr. Berg.

Commented too soon, should wait for the truth. 5 out of 6 have a different story see today’s article 8/28/08

Mmmm hmmmm.

I have a feeling this is just the beginning.  Keeping digging.  Much more dirt will be found, I’m willing to bet....

In a way I feel bad for Mike Anderson, Berg may have done some things behind his back.

Maybe Jacobs and Honea have the agenda? See today’s 8/28/08 SV Herald.

As do I.

Mayor Mike has no other choice than to fire Berg pronto or end up being the ignorant, nonchalant Ken Lay of this crisis.  Sorry.

I’m glad your not mayor, you’d be firing a guy without finding the truth. In today’s rag 5 out of 6 stated that Berg didn’t do what Jacobs said. Glad we all don’t rush to judgement. The prosecutors tried, convicted him without finding what really happened. Pure politics..

Here’s what I would really like to know.....

What has Berg’s ‘under the table’ incentive been, to try so hard to push this whole Deluxe thing through?

Reporters, start digging!!!

Let’s also start digging the County’s motive: Let’s see, Dalestadt family trust, Weyrich son ASB president of Sedro-Woolley High and Weyrich a school board member, County’s sucking a million dollars a year from soild wast division. Did I miss something?

It’s one man’s word against another’s.  Period.

Those jumping on the band wagon are typical of small town folks who easily believe whatever they are lead to believe.

Speaking of American ideals.....how about some evidence?

No it’s five people against Jacobs. You were right, let’s see the evidence and right now after today’s rag article it looks like the County prosecutors and Jacobs stink. How come the newspaper headline didn’t say “Prosecutors smeared Berg with false information?” We all know why.

Dan Litton - Eat a brick!

The five out of six people you are referring to are all proponents of this deluxe dump. How can you say otherwise… the Planning Department didn’t require an Environmental Impact Statement after stern warning and request for an EIS from Skagit County Public Health Department, the Skagit County Public Works Department, the Sedro-Woolley School District, hundreds of concerned high school students, and many neighboring property owners.

The City failed to adequately protect its residents, plain and simple.

The Janicki’s are allowing the prosecutor’s office to smear good public officials.  If their case is weak, then drop it and get on with life.

I bet if you ask some of these people privately they agree the location is wrong for Deluxe’s operation. They have no reason to lie. Get real! I guess the truth hurts.

Hey Exy Blah, Blah, Blah

I guess you were not in the room. Too bad.  And… how do you know what those guys all think any way.

Public Health Dept = County controlled
Skagit Public Works = County controlled
Sedro-Woolley Schools = County Prosecutor Weyrich
100-200 Sedro-Woolly Students = County Prosecutor and son.
Many neighboring property owners?  Where were they after they got their SEPA notices from the city?  Oh ya, their comments were removed by some gremlin.

Garbage = County dollars that S-W is now going to get a piece of.

Get the picture Exy?
