Tigers - 02 September 2008 12:17 AM Did a poor job, huh? I am sure that Chelsea didn’t have sex before marriage. I am sure Obama’s daughters will not have sex before marriage. Must be good to be a Saint.
I have yet to see this, Palin admitted experimenting with Mary Jane.. Hmmm..
Risked her pregnancy. The one that many have aborted because of being down syndromed?
Very interesting..
Prolonged rupture of membranes, traveling ON A PLANE as a multiparous woman is VERY dangerous to mother and child. If she had that little regard for the safety of her unborn, then why NOT have an abortion?
Sex before marriage is close to just a fact of life - unless you’re a hypocritical “do as I say not as I do” Republican. Why not just be honest - abstinence-only policy doesn’t work. Tell Sarah Palin that.

If Palin has to assume the CIC position, we have someone with 1 1/2 years of experience as a state governor and no foreign relations experience.
Indulge me here - how many years of government and foreign relations experience did George Washington have when he became CIC?
HAHAHAHAHA So NOW suddenly “experience” isn’t the talking point it once was! HAHAHAHA

If Obama is to assume the CIC position, we have someone with no experience in any kind of executive position and no foreign relations experiance.
“experience” Still the point it always has been.

Here’s the breakdown - again.
Obama/Biden:
Senate Foreign Relations Committee
Chairman of the Senate’s subcommittee on European Affairs
Committee on Foreign Relations (chairman)
Caucus on International Narcotics Control (co-chairman)
McCain/Palin:
Chairman of the International Republican Institute
If “experience” is the key, the choice is obvious.

Proving, once again, that liberals are just as much judgemental hypocrites as “neo-cons.”

Take Biden’s work off this list and it gets pretty thin.
I love how people seem to forget around this time of year that the VP job is really meaningless. The 1st lady probably makes more important decisions and influences policy more as well. It’s only real function to get votes and take over if the President dies.
Back to experience here is how I see it and many others too, Obama is just not old enough to have the life experience and maturity to handle such position.

Good points, but I would rather have someone with “new world” experience. Obama knows how to use things like the internet. Have you ever seen Mcain on his blackberry? Maybe his staff does it for him, but it is time for washington to have some vision, anyone who thinks 4 more years of Bush policies is goning to help anyone but the top 5 percent of this country is just plain wrong.
As for Palin, however wonderful she is, her family needs her more than this country does.

And that is more probable than not, considering McCain’s paternal genetics, his life experience and health status, and his age. And McCain’s life experience, courting his mistress and asking his first wife, disabled while he was a POW, for a divorce. Since then, McCain’s life experience has taught him you’re not “rich” until you’ve made over $5 million. OUT...OF....TOUCH.
As far as who “probably” makes more decisions, well, Palin didn’t know a month ago what a VP does either - yet she would be just a heartbeat away from being the President with NO foreign policy experience. Then again, McCain doesn’t have any foreign policy experience either.
Obama and Biden do.

Since tea_time wants to jump from Resume’s to Character I guess we have to bring up Reverend Jeremiah Wright the man who married Obama and inspired to him write his 1st book which is titled after a Wright Sermon. Obama attended his church for 20+ years and hired him to be on his Religious Counsil for his campaign only to fire him in May of this year due to image issue’s.
Watch these video’s below from MSNBC and ABC!! I did not make this up this guy is the most Racist person you will ever listen too, this is Obama’s spiritual leader for the last 20 years, please don’t tell me this guy has not and will not have a great hand in shaping Obama’s policy’s if he gets elected.
I must say after some study I do not share the same value system as Obama and Wright.
I am not a Republican or a Right Wing Christian and I have tried to keep and open mind as I thought in the begining that both canidates were weak. The simple argument that anyone would vote for Obama becuase they don’t want more of Bush is not really an arguement at all because he’s not on the ticket. It’s a knee jerk reaction the Democratic party is counting on and it’s why they put inexperienced person up instead on someone stronger.
I also have always found it strange that people are totally comfortable with Rascism (Wright/Obama) and Sexism (Palin has too many kids to be VP) when it works for whatever they are for this week.

If we’re going to play “6 Degrees of Separation” then you HAVE to see John McCain’s supporter who Mr. McCain actively courted, Pastor John Hagee!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qNi7tPanUA
Now...can we reel it in a little bit and keep it to the candidates? If so, then we would be discussing very much about McCain’s and Palin’s questionable activities, such as McCain’s inability to keep a score better than a “D” or 20% with US Veterans’ Organizations.

And then there’s that little Palin airplane bit, she sold it on eBay. “You know what I enjoyed the most? She took the luxury jet that was acquired by her predecessor and sold it on eBay—and made a profit!” McCain declared in Wisconsin at a campaign stop. Such a simple little thing, getting rid of a plane - so why not JUST BE HONEST about it? The plane didn’t sell on eBay, and it later sold at a lower price for a loss. If such a silly little thing, so easily disproven, can be lied about, what about the important stuff?

ALASKANOMICS! No thanks.
Palin has continued to repeat the already exposed lie that she said, “No, thanks,” to the famous “bridge to nowhere” (McCain’s favorite example of wasteful federal spending). In fact, she said, “Yes, please,” until this project became a symbol and political albatross.
Back to reality. Of the 50 states, Alaska ranks No. 1 in taxes per resident and No. 1 in spending per resident. Its tax burden per resident is 21/2 times the national average; its spending, more than double. The trick is that Alaska’s government spends money on its own citizens and taxes the rest of us to pay for it. Although Palin, like McCain, talks about liberating ourselves from dependence on foreign oil, there is no evidence that being dependent on Alaskan oil would be any more pleasant to the pocketbook.
Alaska is, in essence, an adjunct member of OPEC. It has four different taxes on oil, which produce more than 89% of the state’s unrestricted revenue. On average, three-quarters of the value of a barrel of oil is taken by the state government before that oil is permitted to leave the state. Alaska residents each get a yearly check for about $2,000 from oil revenues, plus an additional $1,200 pushed through by Palin last year to take advantage of rising oil prices. Any sympathy the governor of Alaska expresses for folks in the lower 48 who are suffering from high gas prices or can’t afford to heat their homes is strictly crocodile tears.
As if it couldn’t support itself, Alaska also ranks No. 1, year after year, in money it sucks in from Washington. In 2005 (the most recent figures), according to the Tax Foundation, Alaska ranked 18th in federal taxes paid per resident ($5,434) but first in federal spending received per resident ($13,950). Its ratio of federal spending received to federal taxes paid ranks third among the 50 states, and in the absolute amount it receives from Washington over and above the amount it sends to Washington, Alaska ranks No. 1.

From Former NY City Mayor Ed Koch, a staunch George W. Bush supporter - his Presidential endorsement and rationale:
“I have concluded that the country is safer in the hands of Barack Obama, leader of the Democratic Party and protector of the philosophy of that party. Protecting and defending the U.S. means more than defending us from foreign attacks. It includes defending the public with respect to their civil rights, civil liberties and other needs, e.g., national health insurance, the right of abortion, the continuation of Social Security, gay rights, other rights of privacy, fair progressive taxation and a host of other needs and rights.
If the vice president were ever called on to lead the country, there is no question in my mind that the experience and demonstrated judgment of Joe Biden is superior to that of Sarah Palin. Sarah Palin is a plucky, exciting candidate, but when her record is examined, she fails miserably with respect to her views on the domestic issues that are so important to the people of the U.S., and to me. Frankly, it would scare me if she were to succeed John McCain in the presidency.”

Regardless if the woman’s daughter got knocked up at a young age, let’s look at the facts. The woman just two years ago was the mayor of the town of Wassilla,Alaska which according to wikipedia is barely the size of Sedro-Woolley. The woman who has a husband with a prominent job in Alaska with oil giant BP. The woman who has gone as far as to threaten to sue the US Government for wanting to list the polar bear as an endangered species. I mean it’s not like global warming, which might I add Palin doesn’t beleive exists, isn’t rapidly melting polar bear habitat, or that big oil companies esspecially the one Palin’s husband works for aren’t looking for easier ways to destroy polar bear habitat, in an effort to search out more crude oil. The woman who spent over $20 million dollars in constructing the bridge to no where, which she was originally for, a project that was stopped due to congress pulling the financial plug, not due to Palin saying thanks but no thanks to congress as she had claimed.
Personally, I think this country where we already have gas prices high enough would be much better off not having having the former chair of the “Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission,” as the Vice President wouldn’t do much to change things. It’s funny because wasn’t the tone of the McCain campaign a few months ago one that ripped on Obama’s supposed lack of experience? But now McCain has a running mate who’s biggest political achievement was being the mayor of a town again, which is barely the size of Sedro-Woolley?! But then again she’s the hardworking mother of five, with a down-syndrome baby and a knocked up 17 yr. old daughter right? Come on the McCain camp isn’t trying to show you how America would change, or how the former mayor of some podunk town in Alaska would help him do that. They’re trying to pull the heart strings of America, especially the former female Hillary supporters, especially the die hard feminists, who would vote for a woman over a man any day. Look at the woman’s policies, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that with that woman in the co-pilot’s seat, and McCain in the pilot’s seat, McCain who jokingly sings songs about bombing Iran, and has a wife who struts out on stage in a $300,000 outfit, and a wife who when asked by ABC News what her thoughts were on Palin’s foreign policy experience responded “well her state is the closest in our country to Russia,” it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see the choice of McCain and Palin for the White House, probably isn’t the soundest decision.

Honestly,
If McCain were elected president, and happend to die while in office, can you imagine a United States run with Sarah Palin, who was the mayor of Wasilla, Alaska two years ago, with a population of not even 8,000 people, can you imagine the United States if she had to be at the helm suddenly for some reason, that’s a scary thought to me.

Thank you, dj. To further your assessment, it was reported today that Ms. Palin has only made brief public statements which mimic the statements she made from her pre-written script at the convention. Her “handlers” insisted that anything she says is “off the record.” McCain’s campaign manager stated that Ms. Palin could be interviewed “only when she feels comfortable doing it”.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080909/ap_on_el_pr/palin_playing_it_safe;_ylt=AiqUmK8JYGOrseLHh5jpmXob.3QA
Now, don’t you think “the terrorists” will wait to attack, or strained international relations will pause, until Ms. Palin feels comfortable handling the issue?

Yeah, I can. She’s governor of the largest state in the union and has been in office - an office that demands leadership, I might add - for 18 months. That’s 18 months more real-leadership experience than Barack Obama has ever embarked on.
I’d take Palin over Obama any day.

I think most people, even the ones who don’t like her would agree her “biggest political achievement” might have been being elected Gov. of the State of Alaska.
