Connie Grimnes was a little nervous about starting high school.

Would she be able to find her classes?

Would she make any sports teams?

What about all those seniors?

Now a senior herself at Anacortes High School, Grimnes wanted to make sure the incoming freshmen felt comfortable coming to their new school, so she joined Link Crew.

“We didn’t have Link Crew when I was a freshman and I was a little nervous,” she said. “I think I would have felt a little more welcome with the upperclassmen.”
