To keep up with the changing technology, Anacortes High School is revamping its policy on electronic devices.
Its old rule banning cell phone use in class has been expanded to include all electronic devices — including iPods, MP3 players and PlayStation Portables.
School leaders say electronic devices are so integrated now — like the iPhone that works as a phone, iPod and Internet connection — that it is impossible for teachers to monitor how students are using them.
