As one of the first on the scene of this tragedy, I am very saddened to hear that alcohol could have been involved.  It is such a trememdous shame and most definitely should not have happened.
MOTORISTS!!!  I travel this highway twice a day and see careless stupid driving every day.  Just knock it off!!!!  The next life lost could be yours.  Always be aware of what is going on in front, in back, and on the sides of you.
Also to all of those who stopped, many were calling 911, some were just lookey loos.  If you’re not going to get our of your car and help (and to those calling it in, I know you were helping) if you’re just going to gawk, please leave.  Traffic was backing up quick and the people involved needed help before emergency vehicles got there.
I know the average citizen might be hesitant to just hop out of their vehicle and see what they can do.  But you might have a skill or something in your car that could help the situation.
Please, please, everyone carry a fire extinguisher and first aid kit in your vehicles.!!!  And take First Aid training.  Next time you might be able to help.

My son is Anthony’s best friend.  I agree with Up the River, if you are going to drink, NEVER get behind the wheel of ANYTHING!!!!!  And if you are just there to look, SHAME ON YOU!!  Tony was a great kid, intelligent, great sense of humor, hardworker.  He did not deserve this.  He was his mother’s only son and his sister’s only brother.  He will be missed terribly, he was like a son to me also and if I could, I would exchange my life to give him back his.

This is still surreal to me right now, I am having a hard time facing the fact that Shawn has been taken from us, that the role model I have looked up to all of my life is no longer here to answer question and give me help when I need it the most. This has affected all of us to a larger degree anyone could have prepared for, from mom and dad, Christopher, to his best little buddy Tanner, we are all devastated from this. I hope we are able to find some peace and serenity at some point. Shawn, I love you to no end brother.
