SEDRO-WOOLLEY — A second victim of a two-auto, two-motorcycle accident last week died this morning at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
Shawn R. Tygret, 34, of Concrete was driving a Buick eastbound on Highway 20 Oct. 1 when he was struck partially head on by a Toyota pickup driven by Philip Brown, 64, of Burlington, according to the State Patrol.
Two motorcyclists were riding behind Tygret and were entangled with the collision, four miles east of Sedro-Woolley near Hoehn Road.
One of them, 21-year-old Anthony M. Burwell, of Burlington died at the scene. The other, 31-year-old Robbie Tygret of Concrete, brother of Shawn Tygret, sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
The State Patrol believes alcohol was a factor in the accident, and Brown is under investigation for vehicular homicide. Troopers believe he crossed the centerline, causing the accident. Brown is currently being treated for injuries at the Skagit Valley Hospital, where he was in satisfactory condition Tuesday.
