MOUNT VERNON — An Everett brother and sister were arrested Tuesday afternoon in connection with an armed robbery of a Mount Vernon pharmacy in May.

Mount Vernon police tracked down the 18-year-old man and 20-year-old woman because one of them accidentally called the Hilltop Pharmacy on East Division street they had allegedly robbed May 26 right after the crime, Lt. Chris Cammock said today.

Detectives searched the phone records of the pharmacy, retracing and cross checking legitimate business calls, Cammock said.

A security camera from a neighboring business also taped the get-away car as it left the pharmacy, Cammocks said.

Everett police and Marysville police are investigating similar robberies in Snohomish County to see if they are related to the Mount Vernon robbery.
