Canada-bound motorists can now choose the most-efficient border crossing by taking advantage of new signs that display border wait times, the Washington State Department of Transportation said Monday.
Wait times are displayed on the department’s Web site and on Interstate 5 roadside signs. Wait times are available for the following Whatcom County border crossings:
• I-5 in Blaine — Peace Arch border crossing.
• SR 543 in Blaine — Pacific Highway crossing.
• SR 539 in Lynden — Lynden/Aldergrove crossing.
• SR 9 in Sumas — Sumas/Huntingdon crossing.
Wait times and 16 traffic cameras can be found at http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/traffic/border/.
