MOUNT VERNON—Skagit Gardens Inc. has been acquired by Aequitas Capital Management’s Cataylst Fund.
Skagit Gardens, founded in 1966, is a wholesale greenhouse company that delivers annuals and perennials throughout North America.

COUPEVILLE—Island County Prosecutor Gregory Banks has been elected President of the Washington Association of Prosecuting Attorneys for a one-year term effective January 2009. Banks will be the first Island County Prosecutor to hold the post since the WAPA was founded in 1952.
BURLINGTON—Ann Larson Spink, owner of Quality Physical Therapy in Burlington, has been elected to the board of Private Practice Special Interest Group, a constituent for the Physical Therapy Association of Washington and the American Physical Therapist Association.
