BELLINGHAM — Melanie Rose Clark and Cory John Kollmeyer were married during an afternoon outdoor ceremony Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, at Evergreen Gardens in Ferndale.

The bride is the daughter of Connie Clark of Marblemount and Don Kirkpatrick of Seattle. The groom is the son of Rod and Nancy Kollmeyer of Bellingham.

Pastor Mark Robinson officiated the double-ring ceremony.

The bride carried a bouquet of mini calla lilies, roses and orchids in shades of orange, with red and white accents. She wore a string of pearls belonging to her grandmother, Judy Clark, and carried a handkerchief passed down through the groom’s family. Melanie’s grandfather, Howard Clark, joined her father in escorting her down the aisle.

Anna Olney of Sedro-Woolley was the matron of honor. Mike Shoor of Bellingham was the best man.

The groom’s sister, Katie Kollmeyer of Richland, and Nicole Buhr of Lynden were the bridesmaids.

Matt Withrow of Everett and the bride’s brother, Nathanael Kirkpatrick of Clear Lake, were the groomsmen.

Makenzi Clark of Sedro-Woolley, cousin of the bride, served as the bride’s personal assistant. Tami Clark, the bride’s aunt, and Katie Wilhelm-Vaught and uncles Troy Clark and Sean Hatch were wedding helpers.

The bride’s sister, Grace Clark-Wartchow of Marblemount, was the flower girl.

The mothers of the bride and groom lit the unity candle.

A reception was held at Evergreen Gardens.

The bride graduated from Concrete High School in 2003 and is working on her real estate license. She is employed by the Olive Garden in Bellingham.

The groom graduated in 2002 from Cascade High School in Everett and from Western Washington University in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in business finance. He is employed by Washington Mutual Bank in Burlington.
