SEDRO-WOOLLEY — Mabel A. Cook and Phillip C. Nobles were married in an afternoon ceremony Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009, in the meeting hall at Lyman Baptist Church in Lyman.
The Rev. Hutch Hutchins officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride carried a bouquet of white roses with holly and was escorted down the aisle by her sons, Frank Cook of Lyman and Jim Cook of Sedro-Woolley.
Her daughters, Sherry Black of Sedro-Woolley and Alesia Van Pelt of Burlington, were her attendants. Mark Nobles of Tacoma was the best man.
Mabel’s granddaughter, Jordan Cook, sang, accompanied on guitar by Adam Waldron of Sedro-Woolley.
The Lyman Baptist Ladies hosted a reception at Lyman City Hall.
The bride graduated from Sedro-Woolley High School in 1954. She is a retired homemaker.
The groom is retired from Sicklesteel Cranes in Mount Vernon.
For their wedding trip, Phillip and Mabel Nobles went on a Caribbean cruise. They live in Sedro-Woolley.
