Skagit County has extended the deadline for Sedro-Woolley to agree to a settlement that could end the ongoing legal battle between the county, city, Annie Janicki and Deluxe Recycling and Disposal.
The new deadline, set in an e-mail sent Thursday to attorneys for Sedro-Woolley, Deluxe and Janicki, is Aug. 14 at 4 p.m. The previous deadline, which was this past Thursday at 4 p.m., passed without any response from the city, according to Skagit County Chief Civil Deputy Will Honea.
Members of the Sedro-Woolley City Council have said they plan to discuss the settlement offer in executive session during their Aug. 13 council meeting.
