If you couldn’t get a reservation New Year’s Eve or just didn’t feel like fighting the crowds, things should be slightly calmer Saturday when Badd Dog Blues Society performs at 8 p.m. at the Rockfish Grill. The band features Andy “Badd Dog” Koch on vocals, harmonica and guitar, Fat James on guitar, Johnny “Buffalo” Goodman on bass and Wedge Michaels on drums.
Badd Dog Blues Society has built a strong following by offering audiences tons of fun dancing, singing and howling the night away. Koch studied blues harp with Lee Oskar of War, Howard Levey of Bela Fleck & the Flecktones and harmonica champion Jim McLaughlin, among others, and has performed with or opened for outstanding acts such as Canned Heat, Jefferson Starship, Maria Muldaur, Bonnie Raitt, Paul Rodgers, Commander Cody, Fat James and Swamp Mama Johnson.
