Funk/electro-pop band Velella Velella of Seattle headlines a show at 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22 at Department of Safety. Admission is $6.

Velella Velella’s danceable and upbeat style received good press during a recent three-city mini-tour.

“Velella Velella are the epitome of party music,” said The Stranger. Cascadia Weekly wrote, “It’s sort of like the soundtrack to a late-night impromptu dance party with your best girlfriends.”

Also performing at the show are Pt. Juncture Washington, These United States and Christopher Rabbit.
