LA CONNER — The La Conner School Board will vote Monday on whether to hire Chris Pierson as the junior varsity boys basketball coach. The board will also discuss modifications to the district special education policy.
The meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. in the school board meeting room on the second floor, 304 N. Sixth St., La Conner.

BURLINGTON — The Burlington-Edison School Board will hold a public hearing Monday on the potential sale of 20 acres of district-owned land at the corner of Bow and Ershig roads. The board will also discuss and vote on whether to approve an updated board policy on how to address student sports head injuries and concussions.
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the administration office, 927 E. Fairhaven Ave., Burlington.

SEDRO-WOOLLEY — The Sedro-Woolley School Board will hear a report Monday from the district levy advisory committee. The board will also hear a budget status report.
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at Central Elementary School, 601 Talcott St., Sedro-Woolley.

MOUNT VERNON — The Mount Vernon School Board will hear reports Monday from the facilities advisory committee. The board will also hear an update on the Northwest Career and Technical Academy.
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in the Mount Vernon High School New Main Library, 314 N. Ninth St.

MOUNT VERNON — The Northwest Career and Technical Academy Administrative Council will discuss Wednesday agreements between school districts. The council will also talk about the start-up costs of the Anacortes and Mount Vernon campuses.
The meeting will be held at 9 a.m. in the Skagit Valley College multipurpose room near the cafeteria, 2405 E. College Way.

I checked the minutes.  The July 13 meeting was there.  Four hour meeting condensed into one sentence about a board evaluation.

Why does the BESD announce a public meeting only 24 hours prior to the hearing date? They started working on this sale back in April.
