BURLINGTON — The Burlington-Edison School Board will review the district’s nonvoted debt obligation Monday. The board will also hear a report on literacy.
The 5:30 p.m. meeting will be held at the administration office, 927 E. Fairhaven Ave.

SEDRO-WOOLLEY — The Sedro-Woolley School Board will hear a report Monday about the district’s student enrollment. The board will also hear a 2008-2009 year-end report on the district’s finances.
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in the Support Service Building, 317 Yellow Lane. At 5:30 p.m., the board will hear a presentation about risk management.

MOUNT VERNON — The Mount Vernon School Board will vote Monday to place two levy issues on the ballot this spring, one to replace its current maintenance and operations levy and another to replace its current technology levy. The board will also approve its six-year capital facilities plan and hear a report about enrollment projections.
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in the Mount Vernon High School New Main Library, 314 N. Ninth St.

WOMEN’S OPPORTUNITY AWARDS: The Mount Vernon Soroptimist Club seeks applications for its women’s opportunity awards. The awards program is open to women who serve as the primary wage earners for their families and seek financial assistance to return to school. The local winner will receive a $2,000 grant and the chance to win $5,000 and $10,000 awards at the regional and national level.
