EVERETT — Zack Johnson led a balanced offensive attack and the Stanwood boys’ basketball team used smothering first-half defense Friday for a 62-47 Western Conference North Division win over Everett.

The Spartans allowed just 13 points in the first half.

“We looked strong all game,” Spartans coach Zach Ward said. “We came out with a lot of energy. Giving up six in the first, seven in the second is pretty good. Thirteen in a half — you’ve got to be excited about that.”

Will Brown scored 13 points to lead Everett (2-6, 3-8).

“Tori was definitely one of the game-changers for us on the defensive end,” Concrete coach Kevik Rensink.

Everett Seagulls 39
