BURLINGTON — Rachel Amber Guffie and Patrick Irvin Haveman announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Doyle and Mary Guffie of Sedro-Woolley.

Her fiancé is the son of Jeff and Lani Haveman of Alger.

Guffie graduated in 2003 from Sedro-Woolley High School. She works at Rallye Auto Sales in Burlington.

Haveman graduated from Burlington-Edison High School in 2003. He is employed by Day Creek Sand & Gravel in Sedro-Woolley.

The couple are planning a Feb. 28, 2009, wedding in Mount Vernon.
