As events wind down Aug. 1 at the Anacortes Arts Festival, the action continues in local venues hosting the First Friday Gallery Walk from 6 to 9 p.m.

Standout shows include an exhibit of acrylics by Anacortes Arts Festival poster artist LeAnn Adams at Insights Gallery and a great collection of pastels by dozens of “Signature Members” of the Northwest Pastel Society. The artists’ reception for the pastel show takes place during the Gallery Walk.

The society’s show includes dozens of outstanding landscapes, seascapes, florals, still lifes and more.

Gallery Walk participants:

• Anne Martin McCool Gallery, 711 Commercial Ave., is celebrating its seventh anniversary with new paintings by Anne Martin McCool, Cathy Schoenberg and Rebecca Hyland; new clay crow sculptures by Teri Silva; jewelry by Debbie Aldrich, Carole Cunningham and Kathleen Faulkner; turned wood by Dick Jacobson; and glass by Alison Brubaker and Bill Tottenham.

• Insights Gallery, 516 Commercial Ave., features LeAnn Adams’ show “A Celebration of Life.” Also showing are oils by Alfred Currier, acrylics by Dianna Shyne and Anne Schreivogl and watercolors by Marty Rogers.

• That Photo Shoppe, 512 Commercial Ave., presents “Nature’s Photographer” by Joan Silling. Her show will include her recent work from her trip to India. Also showing are images of Germany by John Kelso, images of China by Leslie Dorn and Terry Brady’s images of the Galapagos Islands.

• Adrift, 510 Commercial Ave., is showing paintings by Bandana’s tattoo artist Mike Staum.

• Scott Milo Gallery, 420 Commercial Ave., hosts the Northwest Pastel Society’s annual “Signature Member.” The gallery also features a great selection of sculptures, wood work, jewelry and glass.

• The Depot Arts Center Gallery, 611 R Ave., features “A Lopez Island Art Show” with the work of Colin Goode Studio. Photographs by Valley Camera Club are on display in the Baggage Room Gallery.

• Bowman Gallery, 801 Fifth St., features the work of many local artists.
