A children’s musical, mask making and Broadway dance are on tap for youngsters, and sword fighting is offered for those a little older, during Class ACT’s 2008 summer camp classes, which meet at Anacortes Community Theater and The Dance Center in July and August.
Space is limited. Enrollment is now open, and the play has a June 14 “audition” to help instructors with casting. Call 293-6829 to register.

Performances are 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday, July 19 at the theater. Students also will present musical numbers in the Anacortes Arts Festival’s youth tent Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 2 and 3.

• Students who take both mask making and Broadway dance get the reduced rate of $250 for the two classes.
• Students 13 and older with a taste for daring-do can learn the craft of stage fighting from an experienced instructor 1-2:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday, July 21 to Aug. 1, at the Anacortes Community Theatre. Cost is $55. Glynna Goff-Eloe will teach physical fitness, safety techniques, hand-to-hand combat and use of fencing foils and other weapons.
