Therapist caring, well-respected
In reference to the trial of Mount Vernon massage therapist Ross Scott, I would like to give you a more personal view of a man whom I have known for more than 10 years, both as a client and as a friend.
Ross is a very charismatic, warm, caring and very introspective individual. His whole life has been dedicated to the healing arts and he has helped countless people with physical problems through his healing hands, including me after a serious automobile accident.
He is a well-respected and active member of his community. It is not in his nature to go beyond the bounds of decency. This accusation nearly destroyed a very valuable life.
There is a troubling trend in our society where we don’t talk to each other any more to resolve our issues. We assume, imagine and blow things way out of proportion, instead of thinking logically, confronting and talking things out. We all need to take a “timeout” and think about how our actions possibly will affect the lives of others, as it is so easy to destroy the reputation and life of another.
Ross’s reputation has been impugned and he will have to work hard to overcome this injustice. But he has many clients and friends to help him get through this future challenge.
