BURLINGTON — The Skagit County Superior Court has issued a warrant for the arrest of a man in connection with a shooting death last week in Burlington.
Police are seeking Luis Alberto Ugalde, 28, to pursue information about the June 13 shooting death of Walter Chacon-Villanueva.
Ugalde is a 5-foot-6 Hispanic male, 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
Chacon-Villanueva, 34, was driving along the 700 block of South Alder Street when a shotgun blast smashed through the driver’s side window of his vehicle, striking him in the head, police said.
Police believe that a fight one hour earlier at the El Gitano restaurant in Mount Vernon is associated with the fatal shooting.
Anyone with information on Ugalde’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 or 360-428-3131.
