MOUNT VERNON — The Skagit County Coroner’s Office confirmed today that the death of an 18-year-old Mount Vernon man this week was a homicide and said that he had been shot more than once.
A Mount Vernon resident found Edgar Reyes-Bravo dead early Monday morning after Reyes-Bravo’s car rammed into a home on North Eight Street. Reyes-Bravo was sitting in the driver’s seat of a Jeep Cherokee.
Reyes-Bravo died of multiple gunshot wounds, said Bob Clark, a deputy coroner.
The Mount Vernon police continue to interview friends, family and acquaintances of the teen to try and piece together where Reyes-Bravo spent the last few hours of his life.
Lt. Chris Cammock said the only specifics investigators know so far is that he was home with his family earlier Sunday evening.
“I think anything is possible,” Cammock said. “That’s why we don’t want to get locked on any one theory.”
