EVERSON — Joe Barrington, Nate Scott and Jordan Watts recorded pins Monday to lead the Mount Vernon wrestling team to a 34-24 victory over Nooksack Valley in Northwest Conference action.

Barrington (160 pounds), Scott (215) and Watts (135) stopped their matches in the first round.

EVERETT — The Wildcats got the Western Conference North Division meet victory by virtue of the tie-breaker criteria.
Oak Harbor (2-2 conference, 5-3 overall) had five pins — Brandon Stratton (135), Ben Page (140), John Tuttle (145), Jared Tyson (152) and Royce Cardwell (119).

SNOHOMISH — The Wildcats scored just two points each in the first and fourth quarters to lose the Western Conference North Division game.

Jessica Denmon, Kathryn Fisken and Jennifer Jansen each scored seven points to lead Oak Harbor (2-2 conference, 5-3 overall).
