More Washingtonians held multiple jobs in 2007

A survey has found that 5.9 percent of Washington workers held more than one job in 2007, according to the federal government's Bureau of Labor Statistics.

That’s slightly more than the national rate of 5.2 percent.

For Washington workers, it was an increase of 0.2 percent from 2006 when 5.7 percent of workers held multiple jobs.

The survey found that overall, 26 states saw a decrease in multiple jobholding rates in 2007, 20 saw an increase and four states experienced no change.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics is part of the U.S. Department of Labor.
