A new Bed Bath & Beyond store is expected to open in Burlington later this year.

BURLINGTON — Bed Bath & Beyond is opening a new store here.

Bed Bath & Beyond spokeswoman Catherine Gentile confirmed that the Union N.J.-based corporation plans to open at the Burlington location in late fall.

The store will occupy the space formerly held by Linens n’ Things, which closed its stores after that company declared bankruptcy in 2008.

The site of the new Bed Bath & Beyond has a sign on the front with a phone number (1-800-JOBS-222) for those interested in employment there. But as of Monday, there was no information yet available to callers about the Burlington location or on the company’s website.

This is newsworthy...whereas the Burlington Edison School District public hearing is not worthy of a goskagit online posting? Hmmm.
