SEDRO-WOOLLEY — Jacqueline Pegan and Rico Vincent Romano were married in an early evening ceremony Saturday, July 26, 2008, at Evergreen Gardens in Ferndale.
The bride is the daughter of Lee and Lorraine Pegan of Everson. The groom is the son of Vicente and Ester Romano of Manila, Philippines.
Carl “Spud” Bronkema officiated the ceremony.
Elizabeth Flones of Deming was the matron of honor and Connie DeBoer of Sumas was the maid of honor. Thomas Baker of Cincinnati was the best man.
Lisa Hatchell of Albuquerque, N.M., Mika Thomas of Sedro-Woolley and Rosecelle Romano of Alexandria, Va., were the bridesmaids.
Luis Gomez of Daly City, Calif., Harold Sia of New York City and Charles Knauft V of Deming were the groomsmen.
Cassie Thomas of Sedro-Woolley was the flower girl. Griffin Hink of Burlington was the ring bearer.
A reception followed the ceremony at Evergreen Gardens.
The bride graduated in 2000 from Meridian High School in Bellingham and earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Whitworth University and Washington State University in 2004. She is working on a master’s degree in nursing at Gonzaga University. She works at United General Hospital in Sedro-Woolley and Intalco in Ferndale.
The groom graduated from the University of the Philippines, earning a bachelor’s degree in 1996 and doctor of medicine degree in 2001. He is employed by Skagit Valley Medical Center in Sedro-Woolley.
The couple took a wedding trip to Napa and Sonoma counties in California. They live in Sedro-Woolley
