Ally Kutz has another high school softball game ahead of her.
The Mount Vernon senior, who will play next year at Oregon State, has been selected to play Sunday in the Senior All Star Challenge.
Kutz is an infielder who played catcher down the stretch for the Bulldogs.
She will play on the Northwest team in the four-team tournament at the Service Club Ballfields in Kent.
Northwest will play West Central at 10:30 a.m.
A second game for Kutz will be at 2:30 p.m. or 4:30 p.m.
Thurmond honored by conference
Burlington-Edison baseball coach John Thurmond has been named coach of the year by the Northwest Conference.
Thurmond helped guide the Tigers to the Northwest Conference title and a state tournament berth.
Three of Thurmond’s Tigers were named to the all-conference first team: Ian Capron, Tyler McLeod and Dylan Boe.
Sedro-Woolley’s Bobby Twedt Jr. and Anacortes’ Braiden Darling were also named to the first team.

Mount Vernon swimmers pick up honors
Mount Vernon swimmers Vaani Ganeson and Amy Felt have been named Academic All-Americans by the National Insterscholastic Swimming Coaches Association of America.
