Children can celebrate the 17th annual Puget Sound Kids Day Saturday at the Padilla Bay Reserve, Children’s Museum of Skagit County and area libraries with free activities and programs.
Kids also are encouraged to show and tell what they’re doing to help save the Sound and in return, take home a “Kids For Puget Sound” iron-on patch, Save Our Sound buttons, and an Explorer’s Guide and Map.
Some of the events will be at:
• Padilla Bay Reserve, from 10:30 a.m. to noon and at 1 p.m. at the reserve at 10441 Bayview-Edison Road, BayView. For reservations, call 360-428-1558.
• Children’s Museum of Skagit County, from 11 a.m. to noon, in the Cascade Mall at 550 Cascade Mall Drive, Burlington. For reservations, call 360-757-8888
• The Whale Museum, Friday Harbor, at 1 p.m. For reservations, call 360-378-4710.
• Libraries in Anacortes, Burlington, La Conner, Mount Vernon and Sedro-Woolley will be showcasing books on the Sound.
