The Sedro-Woolley Rotary club recently named their Students of the Month for April.

Kalie Kelley is the daughter of Shannon and Dina Kelley of Sedro-Woolley.

At Sedro-Woolley High School, Kalie maintains a 3.957 GPA and has been on Honor Roll all four years of her high school career, so most anyone would see that she is a little beyond just smart. She does not play any sports at school but has always been a huge fan of going, watching and supporting all those who do.

Outside of school, Kalie is a busy person. She is always either working or doing her physics homework, but loves to hang out with her friends whenever she can. Kalie has held a part time job since she was 15 years old and is currently working at Higher Ground Espresso.

After high school, Kalie plans to attend Eastern Washington University this fall and eventually receive her degree in accounting.

Ethan Brown is the son of Dan and Kim Brown of Sedro-Woolley.

At Sedro-Woolley High School, Ethan maintains a 3.6 GPA. Ethan has been a three-year starting varsity basketball player. He is involved in several clubs including National Honor Society and Natural Helpers. Ethan says that one of his favorite memories of high school is when he got to go to Hawaii for a basketball tournament. He said it was a little bit warmer than here in Washington.

Outside of school, Ethan enjoys fishing, going on camping trips with his friends and family and hiking the trails around Western Washington with his buddies. Ethan’s life revolves around basketball. He has worked for Parks and Recreation refereeing youth basketball and works at youth basketball camps as a basketball coach. Some may say Ethan is the next “Air Jordan.”

After high school, Ethan plans to attend George Fox University in Newburg, Ore. to play basketball, but is still undecided on what he will major in.
